Privacy Policy: Blurred Spaces Scheduling

Blurred Spaces LLC (“Blurred Spaces,” “we,” “us”) runs a scheduling tool at book.blurredspaces.com (the “Scheduling App”). Visitors use it to book meetings with Blurred Spaces. This policy explains what information the Scheduling App collects, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Who uses the Scheduling App

• Guests: anyone who visits the booking page to schedule a meeting. Guests never sign in with Google.
• Account owner: Blurred Spaces staff who connect their own Google Calendar accounts so the app can show real availability and add booked meetings.

2. Information we collect from guests

When you book a meeting, we collect:

• Your name and email address
• Any notes you choose to add about the meeting
• Your time zone (detected by your browser, so times display correctly)
• The date and time you select

How we use it: only to schedule your meeting. We send your details to Google Calendar to create the event and email you a calendar invitation, which may include a Google Meet link. Your information is stored in the Blurred Spaces owner’s Google Calendar, inside that event.

We also briefly process your IP address to prevent abuse, such as limiting repeated booking attempts. We don’t store it after that.

3. Google user data (Google Calendar)

The Scheduling App asks only the account owner to connect Google accounts. When they do, the app requests these permissions:

How we use Google user data:

• The app reads only busy time blocks (start and end times) to work out which times are open. It doesn’t read, store, or display event titles, descriptions, or attendees of existing events.
• The app creates new events only when a guest books a meeting.
• Busy-time information is processed on the fly and held in temporary memory for at most about one minute. It is not saved permanently.

What we store: a Google access (refresh) token and the connected email address for each connected owner account, so the app keeps working without signing in again. It is kept in our hosting provider’s secure storage (Netlify) and is never sent to guests’ browsers.

What we never do with Google user data:

• We don’t sell it.
• We don’t use it for advertising.
• We don’t use it to train artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models.
• We don’t share it with anyone except as needed to run the Scheduling App (see Section 5).

Limited Use disclosure: Blurred Spaces’ use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

4. Cookies

The Scheduling App does not use advertising or tracking cookies. It sets only:

• A secure login cookie for the account owner’s admin area
• A short-lived security cookie during Google sign-in

Guests booking a meeting get no cookies from us.

5. Service providers

We share information only with the providers needed to run the Scheduling App:

• Google (Google Calendar, Google Meet, Google Fonts): creates events, sends invitations, and serves fonts. Google Privacy Policy
• Netlify: hosts the Scheduling App and stores the connection token. Netlify Privacy Policy
• Tailwind CSS CDN: delivers page styling files.

When your browser loads the page, these providers may receive standard technical information such as your IP address.

We may also disclose information if required by law.

6. Data retention and deletion

• Guest bookings stay on the owner’s Google Calendar as normal calendar events. To have your booking information deleted, email us at the address below.
• Google connections are deleted from our storage when the owner disconnects the account in the admin area. Anyone can also remove the app’s access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

7. Security

We use HTTPS encryption for all traffic, keep tokens on the server only, protect the admin area with a password and signed cookies, and request only the minimum Google permissions the app needs.

8. Children

The Scheduling App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

9. Changes

If this policy changes, we’ll update it here and change the effective date above.
